Finding it hard to focus the mind…… #yoga

Finding it hard to focus the mind at present, but that isn’t going to stop me from practice. It’s days like these that it’s more relevant to the commitment to this path, than when the mind is less chaotic and the days are chilled. I’m beginning to grasp how much the mind does not like, not being in control of my attention. I beginning to know you mind, I’m beginning to understand that you are not my friend.

Exhilarating, cycling in heavy rain……  #cycling

Just in from cycling to work and it’s chucking it down, thank goodness for gortex and goggles. Great stuff about cycling in challenging weather conditions is you get fitter and stay healthier. The lush part is getting home, stripping of ya waterproofs, sitting down to a warm turmeric tea and feeling dam chuffed with yourself.

I love my life!

Converting a small work van into a camper #vanlife

Attending weekends with my teacher, won’t have to fork out for accommodation now. Will find beauty spots to park up making those weekends even more special than what they already are. Connecting with nature whilst building a spiritual path into yoga. Grateful to my hero of a husband and friend Bekki.

I’m Ending Tamoxifen Treatment #breastcancer #tamoxifen

The headaches are too much, they cripple me and take me down to a dark place, that I have then got to swim against the emotional current, fighting to get back up, takes days out of my daily life, enough is enough.  It’s obvious that my body doesn’t accept this treatment and I have to find another way to make sure that the breast cancer doesn’t come back. Peppermint Oil For IBS #Ayurveda #yoga

I accept that there is a place for pharmaceuticals but we must try out natural remedies also. Conditions such as IBS that are lifetime conditions must be managed with diet and not drugs.

Asana Reality Check; should I do it, why do it, can I do it, can I work it and stay in it? #yoga

Every asana has its core concepts.

Form and function of the asana, the intelligent steps into, whilst in and then the steps out of the asana. Always a counter asana and most important, the heart of the practice, the breath! Read the rest of this entry »
